This summer was by far the busiest I've ever experienced! Quite a few people visited us, my parent's, my sister and her husband Sean and also Oliver's parents. Then of course there was my very first solo art exhibit, which was a success! On top of that there were renovations to endure and now finally things are settling down. Liam started Kindergarten last week, he says he likes it although his mood has changed for the worse since starting and I am 99% certain he's being bullied. I'm waiting a couple of days to see if things work themselves out and if not I will be taking it up with his teacher. The boy in question is a good deal bigger than Liam and from what my boy is telling me he also has a minion in his service. The good news is that Liam still wants to go back to school and it sounds like he may have made a friend. His teacher is nice and the school principle is really fantastic, I think they will be good allies against bullying, they seem to care about the children in their charge. In other news, Next weekend we head to Fredricton New Brunswick to pick up our new family member, Albus Dumbledore! We are so excited to finally meet our new puppy in person and are certain we will love him so very much!

Basin Head beach PEI. This beach is really lovely! We visited it twice while Oliver's parents were with us. If you're on the Island and are looking for a beach that isn't packed with people, is gorgeous, free to visit and good for swimming then this is your beach!

The Ferris Wheel at the Old Home Week fairgrounds. Liam had SO MUCH fun!!!

One of the draft horses during Old Home Week. Liam is not terribly fond of horses but Elsa is quite smitten and I think she inherited her mum's horse crazy tendencies.

She is completely unafraid! These huge horses were literally pressing their big soft twitchy lips up against her face and she simply closed her eyes and giggled, thoroughly enjoying the experience. Here she is visiting with a gorgeous Percheron.

A beautiful and unbelievably friendly Clydesdale during Old Home Week that I would have taken home with me if I could have!

My little ones playing with Elsa's new Disney Princess castle. This was Elsa's gift for being SUCH a good girl the day Oliver and I hung my exhibit. Liam chose a Peter Pan flashlight as his treat :)

The East Point lighthouse was getting a much needed face lift the day we visited with Oliver's parents.

I found him exhausted on a sandy path that winds through the dunes. He had sand in his eyes and was exposed to the sea gulls which worried me so I carefully scooped him up. Oliver placed him safely in some dense shrubbery and when we went back to check on him he had gone.
